X-Factor Contestant Carlos Guevara: I Don't Chew Gum On Stage

X-Factor Contestant Carlos Guevara: I Don't Chew Gum On Stage

Posted: Updated:

Another contestant was sent packing from "The X Factor" Wednesday night, and this time it Carlos Guevara, a 16-year-old from Lexington, SC.

Carlos' fate was delayed almost a week after an error in the voting system forced the show to throw out the results of last Wednesday night's original Top 13 performance show.

"This has been the best experience of my life. I got to do what I always wanted to do and these guys are my best friends. They're going to do awesome," Carlos said following his ouster.

His mentor, Paulina Rubio, said, "Carlos, you are an inspiration. I'm so, so honored to be working with you. You had the hearts of all America. You did great. Keep going, keep doing it. You're a champion!"

Carlos joins Steve Edwards and Lisa Breckenridge on Good Day LA

When you sit down with Jeff Bridges, where do you start? Crazy Heart, the movie performance that won him an academy award? The Last Picture Show, the 1971 film that launched his career? Or The Big Lebowski.

“Dear White People” is receiving a lot of attention this awards season. Critics love it. The film has a 91-percent rating on the website Rotten Tomatoes. It takes a very honest look at racial identity in America today.  One of the stars is Teyonah Parris, who plays Coco in “Dear White People.” She's known to many as Don Draper's secretary in “Mad Men.” Teyonah is also on the Starz Network “Survivor's Remorse.”
