Two Tempe Police officers head to Switzerland for reality show

TEMPE, Ariz. -

With luggage in hand, two Tempe Police officers are headed to Europe. But this isn't an ordinary vacation -- this is a reality show!

They left Tuesday for Switzerland. The two cops, in exchange for two Swiss police officers.

"I'm very excited, nervous, anxious, never felt so many emotions at one time," says Officer Denison Dawson.

"Pretty overwhelming. Can't grasp it, trying to get ready for the trip. Never been to Europe before, so very excited," says Officer Jess Dever-Jakusz.

Jess and Denison are both more than 10 year veterans with the Tempe Police Department. They were handpicked by their superiors to visit Switzerland and be part of a police reality show.

"We actually don't have any idea what we're going to be doing so there's a lot of unknowns right now, so that's kind of exciting," says Denison.

The reality crews were already at work for the sendoff, covering the goodbye. They just learned of the show yesterday, and are looking forward to doing more than just work.

"I want to try the cheese and chocolate of course the Alps. I would like to see the beauty. I heard the country is really beautiful."

We're not sure what the show is called, but the producers searched all across the country for the right officers and found them right here in the valley.
