CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Chicago Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday morning in the lot of a CTA bus barn on the South Side.

About 1 a.m. police were called to the bus barn in the 7800 block of South Vincennes Avenue after the body was found, authorities said.

CTA spokesman Brian Steele said the transit agency was aware of the situation, but could not provide details about the incident. He added that the investigation will not delay CTA service.

The man's cause of death was not immediately known. But according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, preliminary indicators suggest the man was not murdered.

Area South detectives are conducting a death investigation and it is not a homicide investigation, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
